“Peripheral Neuropathy” high risk foot care issue in Diabetic Patients.

Neuropathy is a severe abnormality, when the nerve pathway is disrupted during the nerve signals, causing the brain to misinterpret information, feelings or sensations. Types of different neuropathy diseases are known by different names; it constitutes and signifies on the number of nerves affected, their functions, and location of these nerves in the body.
“Peripheral Neuropathy”:  as it may be known as “PN” the name for nerve damaged during the  malfunction of the peripheral nerves.  The “PN” nerves that are extended to the arms, hands, legs, and feet come under this category. When a single peripheral nerve is damaged it is called “mono-neuropathy”. And if the nerves are damaged in more numbers, it is called “multiple-neuropathies”. During the conditions when these peripheral nerves damages are caused to many nerves at the same time, it is known as “poly-neuropathy”.
Diabetes Mellitus” :  During “Diabetes” the body is associated with several types of neuropathy, as “chronic poly-neuropathy”. The “Chronic poly-neuropathy” expands eventually, and it may take over months or years to detect, and usually it begins in the feet and hands.
“Peripheral Neuropathy”
Peripheral Neuropathy is known to have more than “100” branches or types, each of which has different characteristic symptoms and pattern of its development. Each type defines the “nerve damage” with symptoms that a patient experiences and what effect and the degree of damage has explored on his/her physical functioning. Peripheral neuropathy can both be inherited and it can be acquired simultaneously. “Peripheral Neuropathy” is usually caused by physical injury to the nerve, deficiencies in nutrition, alcoholism, tumours, or vascular (blood vessel) disease. “PN” can also be transferred from toxins produced by some bacteria’s or by various types of cancers. Metabolic disorders in the form “Diabetes” can contribute to the formation of “Peripheral Neuropathies”.
People with damaged “Peripheral Nerves” may surely not be able to feel the pain, heat, or cold in general in the arms, both hands, lower legs, and feet. Some people, with Peripheral Neuropathy can feel the numbness in these parts. Some people feel shooting pains with the feeling of electrical-shock in the parts and simultaneously few people complaint about burning, tingling, and a feeling of being pricked by pins. These sensations are more often at night and can disturb during sleep. Sensations may occur on one side of the body or sometimes they occur on both the sides in such conditions both feet or both hands become sensitive.
Peripheral Nerve damage and leads deformations of the feet. In such cases the muscles are weak, while the tendons get shorter in the feet. In such cases you should immediately consult your doctors / Orthopaedic, Diabe-tologist or General Physician or a health-care provider who may prescribe special, Socks, Shoes or Shoe inserts to help protect the feet. As you may know that Solomon Bio-Pharma and Research a world class “Diabetes Care Company” has been providing all solutions regarding the Lower legs and foot Care in Diabetes.
The series of products include,
Dia-B Care Diabetes Care Socks: These Diabetes care Socks are unique and made up of highly sophisticated material/ Fibre. The German made fibre is produced through Nano Technology and later processed with Dr.Free Technology’ which is again a Patented process and material which emits infra red while its use. Dia-B Care Diabetic Socks can help the patients to stimulate the “Peripheral Nerves” through a process of “FAR-I.R induction in the Body.  It regenerates   and rejenuvates the nervous system thus healing the damaged cells/ nerves. It also helps in the swelling/ oedema in the lower legs.
Solomon “Bone Magic206” Heal cushions are again a unique product for the foot care during diabetes. These heal cushion provide the soft heal cushioning as well as shaping up the whole bony structure, Tarsal’s, Meta-Tarsal’s bones and heal bones. This patented product is again made up of a unique material with special patented designs.
Solomon Dia-B- Comf :  shoes are again a unique foot care products with many varieties and ranges. These products are developed with the help of a leading “Diabetes Foot Care company in France. The products are available world over and highly comfortable and specially designed for Diabetics.
Older people cover 50% of the “Peripheral Neuropathy” disease in Type 2 Diabetes. High blood glucose levels usually damage the blood vessels that bring oxygen to these nerves. High blood glucose may also hurt the tissues and cells covering of the nerves. These damaged nerves can stop sensing, or it may sense too slowly or at the wrong times, resulting in numbness or pain.
Diagnosis of diabetic “Peripheral Neuropathy” is made symptomatic analysis and various other signs of peripheral nervous dysfunctions in Diabetic patients. You may also know that people with diabetes can develop Peripheral Neuropathy from other causes also, it’s highly important to rule out those signs and analysis before concluding cause of diabetes. Early stages of diabetic peripheral neuropathy may show no symptoms or signs, even without symptoms, its presence may raise the risk of foot ulcers by 5% to 7%. On the contrast, a person who does not have neuropathy may have a less than 1% annual risk of foot ulcer.

Foot Care Prevention for the People suffering with “Diabetes Mellitus”

Diabetes foot preventions
Foot ulcers and amputations are two major causes of disability, as well as emotional and physical issues for people with diabetes. Early detections and early management can prevent or delay the onset of adverse outcomes of risk factors for ulcers and amputations. This recommendation for people who currently have no foot ulcers outlines the best to identify and manage risk factors before a foot ulcer occurs or an amputation becomes legible.
IDENTIFYING THE RISKS
Identifying the risks is the basic fundamental for effective preventions and its management for the foot care in people with diabetes. The risk of ulcers and amputations in the people having history of Diabetes for more than 10 years, specially male in Gender, or people who have poor glucose utilization, or with cardiovascular, retinal, or renal complications. People with these symptoms usually have foot-related risk conditions they also have increased risk of amputation:
Peripheral neuropathy
Altered biomechanics
Evidence of increased Pressure
Bony deformity
Peripheral vascular disease
A history of ulcers or amputation
People with Severe nail pathology.
FOOT EXAMINATIONS
All people with diabetes mellitus should surely examine themselves at least once a three month to identify high risk in foot. These regular checkups should include “assessment of sensation” Shape and Structure with Bone biomechanics of the feet, vascular status, and it should also include Patients skin integrity. People with one or more high-risk foot conditions should be examined more frequently for the development of additional risk factors. People with neuropathy issues should have a visual inspection of their feet at every visit with a Diabotologist.
Evaluation of neurological status in the low-risk foot should include a quantitative somatosensory test, using the Semmes-Weinstein 5.07 (10-g) monofilament test. Initial screening for peripheral vascular disease should include a history for “claudication” and an assessment of the pedal pulses or foot pulse. The skin should be checked and examined for integrity, and specially between the toes and metatarsal areas, the presence of erythema, warmth, or callus formation can indicate areas of tissue damaged due to risky factors. Bony deformities, and limitation in joints and its mobility,
PREVENTING HIGH-RISK CONDITIONS
Distal symmetric polyneuropathy is one of the most indicative of ulcers and amputation. The only way to develop neuropathy issues can be delayed significantly by maintaining glycemic levels. It should be kept as minimum as possible. Avoid smoking to encouraged and reduce the risk of vascular disease complications.
MANAGING HIGH-RISK CONDITIONS
People with neuropathy or evidence of increased lower body pressure may be managed with well-fitted and comfortable walking shoes or most effective athletic shoes with good and diabetic Insoles. Solomon Bio-pharma and Research recently developed and launched an Insoles by the name “BONE MAGIC 206” a magnificent insoles with low level lasers or I.R Therapies.  These I.R rays slowly corrects all the Neuropathy problems and thus increase the sensations as is essentials. Using “Dia-B Care” Diabetes care socks should be recemmonended to such patients. This d9oes not only care for foot problems, Callus and Blood Circulation but to some extent it controls diabetes. Diabetes patients should be educated on the complications of sensory nerves for surveillance of early problems.
Diabetic people with evidence of increased plantar pressure (e.g. erythema, callus, or measured pressure) should use footwear that cushions and redistributes the pressure. We suggest Bone Magic 206” for cushioning and redistributing the foot pressure in the feet. “Bone Magic 206” is available at (www.elecwire.com). Foot Callus can be debrided with a “Solomon Callus” Remover or a foot care specialist or other Solomon health professional who are trained and experienced in foot care. People with bony deformities (e.g., hammertoes, prominent metatarsal heads, and bunions) should use extra-wide Solomon Diabetic shoes or with depth shoes. People with extreme bony deformities (e.g., Charcot foot) should use custom-molded shoes.
People with symptoms of claudication should go for further Vascular check-ups. Exercise and therapies and surgical options may also be considered.
People with a history of ulcers should be recommended for underlying pathology that led to the ulceration and be managed accordingly. Skin conditions which is minor such as dryness and tinea pedis should be treated to avoid more serious conditions.
EDUCATING DIABETICS
Patients with Diabetes Mellitus and high-risk foot conditions should be educated regarding their risks and indicated for the right foot management. Patients at risk should understand the implications of the loss of protective sensation, foot monitoring is important  on a daily basis, with the proper foot care, including nail and skin care, and the selection “Dia-B care” Diabetes Socks, “Bone Magic 206” heal Cushions” or Insoles and Solomon Diabetic Footwear. Patients with neuropathy should be advised to break in new Solomon Diabetic shoes gradually to minimize the formation of blisters and ulcers in feet. Patients with difficulties in vision, physical constraints movement, or cognitive problems that impair their ability to assess the condition of the foot and to institute appropriate results, Family members should assist in their care. Patients with risk  are benefit from the education on Solomon foot care and Solomon footwear.
PROVIDER EDUCATION
Solomon health care people help the diabetics for caring about their foot, Solomon healthcare conducts simple screening exams of the neurology, vascular systems, dermatological issues, and musculoskeletal problems. Solomon Bio pharma and Research under Diabetes Foot Care division provide additional training and provide focused management of high-risk Lower body and foot conditions. Expertise in patient Diabetes education, Solomon Diabetes footwear modifications, nail and callus and surgical management of the foot is also needed.
